GEO stands for Generative Engine Optimization. It is the practice of making sure your brand appears in answers generated by AI tools like ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Gemini. As more people use AI to make buying decisions, being cited in those answers is replacing traditional search rankings as a core distribution channel. Rankdawn tracks ChatGPT (via OpenAI API), Perplexity, Claude, and Gemini, plus Google AI Overviews via your Google Search Console connection. All four LLMs are included in the Growth and Agency plans. Solo plan includes ChatGPT and Perplexity.

Your GEO Score is a number from 0 to 100 calculated weekly. It weights three signals: your citation rate across all AI platforms (50 percent), your Google AI Overview visibility (30 percent), and citation prominence — how high up in the answer you appear (20 percent). The score updates every week as new citation data comes in.

Every recommendation includes a one-sentence description of the specific problem found in your data, and then the literal action to take. Not improve your content. The exact sentence to add to your About page. The specific FAQ entry to write. Copy it, paste it, done.
