Cookie Policy
Last updated: October 2026
1. Overview
This Cookie Policy explains how Rankdawn (rankdawn.com) uses cookies and similar technologies when you visit our website or use the Rankdawn dashboard. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.
The short version: we only use cookies that are needed to sign you in, keep your account secure and process payments. We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not track you across other websites.
3. How We Use Cookies
- Authentication: to keep you signed in to the dashboard and to know which account you are.
- Security: to protect sign-in, password resets and your session from misuse.
- Payments: to let our payment provider run checkout safely when you upgrade to Pro.
- Preferences: to remember small choices in the app, such as which website you last viewed.
Because these cookies are strictly necessary for the service you asked for, they do not require consent under applicable law. The service cannot work properly without them.
5. Local Storage
The dashboard stores one value in your browser's local storage, rankdawn:active-site, so it reopens the website you were last viewing. It contains only an internal site ID, is never sent to third parties, and stays until you clear your browser data.
6. Analytics
We use Vercel Web Analytics to understand which pages are visited and how the site performs. It is privacy-friendly by design: it does not use cookies, does not store personal data, and does not follow you across other websites. Visits are counted in aggregate only.
7. Third Party Cookies
- Paddle sets cookies during checkout to process payments and prevent fraud. Paddle is responsible for those cookies under its own policy.
- Google may set cookies on its own sign-in pages if you choose Continue with Google. These are set on Google’s domain, not ours.
Links to X, LinkedIn and other websites take you to services with their own cookie policies.
8. What We Never Do
- We do not use advertising or retargeting cookies.
- We do not use tracking pixels or cross-site tracking.
- We do not sell or share cookie data with advertisers or data brokers.
9. Managing Cookies
You can view, block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time. Most browsers also let you block cookies for specific websites.
- Blocking our authentication cookies will sign you out and stop the dashboard from working.
- Clearing local storage simply resets which website the dashboard opens first.
- Blocking Paddle cookies may prevent you from completing checkout.
10. Changes to This Policy
If we add new cookies or change how we use them, we will update this page and the date at the top. If a change requires your consent, we will ask for it before setting those cookies.
